Both Floridian200 & webdunce are correct with the exception of the question mark in Floridian200's version and webdunce's second suggestion. It's a statement, which is how we should do it English as well, but usually don't, probably due to some ridiculous notion called "political correctness." To say, "Could I..." is asking if I have the ability to do something. In this very case, the restaurant could say, "Yes, you could/can," and not regard you afterward. It should be worded in English the same as in the two prior Spanish examples.
It is possible to be polite without having to be "politically ignorant" in ones own language.
