"no me doy por vencida"

Good question, sebearrunner! It means "I am not giving up" or "I don't give up". And since the word 'vencida' ends with 'a', it would be spoken by a female.

This is proper Spanish, not slang.

Check out this definition for vencido and you'll notice the expression 'darse por vencido'.

I hope this helps! smile

The literal translation is "I don't give myself for vanquished." Which is basically saying "I don't give up"
