Which sentence is correct? Spanish test now, please help!

¿Dónde están las flores?

A)Las flores es sobre la mesa.

B)Las flores están sobre la mesa.

C)Las flores son sobre la mesa.

D)Las flores ser sobre la mesa.

ok I think it is C. Because I was taught, the son translates to "are"

OK. Not a bad guess. Son does mean 'are'. 'Las flores' is plural, and 'son' is for plural also. So you're right about that. But the están in B also means 'are' and is also plural. So the answer is B or C.

Check the definition for the English verb to be and look at the difference in how ser and estar are used in Spanish. wink
