How can I know I properly translate an English song to a Spanish song? Someone once told me that some lyrics are left out when translating an English song to a Spanish song
How can I know I properly translate an English song to a Spanish song?
Would I leave out some words.
For example how would Holy are you Lord translate? Is singing in Spanish different than speaking in Spanish?

Honestly, I Would Suggest First Understanding What The Song Is Saying Rather Than Just Translating Words
For Example Me Gusta Wouldn't Be It Is Pleasing To Me But Rather I Like It
So I Suggest Try To Go For A Less Literal Meaning Than What Online Translators Tend To Give You
Hope I Helped=]
BTW, "Holy is the Lord" translates "Santo es el Señor" ... If that's the song you want, try googling that and see if it's already out there ![]()
If the song is very popular, you may find it has already been translated. You can try searching for it online by putting in the title and adding "Spanish" after it.

You've come to the right place for help! (That's my opinon...

I looked at your profile, but it doesn't tell us what your English / Spanish speaking level is. Without knowing what you're background is, it will be a little harder giving you the help you want.
If are trying to translate something from English to Spanish, try the TRANSLATION tool here at SpanishDict.
Now, if you're talking about translating songs, which are poetic and rhythmic, that opens another whole arena. A direct translation will most likely not rhyme anymore nor have the same 'beat' or number of syllables. But that doesn't mean it can't be done. In fact, the challenge will make it that much more fun! Try using the translator tool on some verses you like. Then come back and post what you've worked up. I'm sure someone will jump in and help you along.
