Hi tylersbaby

Welcome to the forum. Please read the forum rules before posting a question. This forum requires correct use of punctuation and does not allow the answering of homework questions.

A little bit of independent research would allow you to find this information fairly easily. Just try to find what portion of the US was once under Spanish/Mexican control. If you approach your question like this then a quick Google search should easily turn up what you are looking for.

If you find some states and cities on your own, bring them back here and someone will be glad to confirm whether these were indeed named by or from the Spanish.

Good luck in your search.

Cities are easy. Just look at most cities in California.

San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Jose, Santa Ana, Santa Cruz, and about a jillion others.

There's also Las Vegas, NV and El Paso, TX.

As far as states go, I think you can go with Nevada, California, Montana, Colorado, Florida, and perhaps New Mexico or Arizona. If Puerto Rico counts, that works too.
