USAGE NOTE
The indirect object pronoun "me" is required in Spanish sentences in which the speaker or writer is the indirect object of the sentence. The prepositional phrase "a mí" lends emphasis to these sentences, but is not required. Ex. "Mi hermano me dio el regalo (a mí)."
