intransitive verb phrase
An intransitive verb phrase is a phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or other particle and does not require a direct object (e.g. Everybody please stand up.).
1. (to weigh a lot)
a. ser pesado (indicating a permanent quality)
That piece of furniture is heavy because it's made of solid wood.Ese mueble es pesado porque está hecho de madera sólida.
b. estar pesado (indicating a temporary state)
The box is heavy, so I should help you move it.La caja está pesada, así que debo ayudarte a moverla.
