intransitive verb phrase
An intransitive verb phrase is a phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or other particle and does not require a direct object (e.g. Everybody please stand up.).
a. to be different
Si no tienes hijos, es diferente. Eres más libre de ir y venir y de hacer lo que te apetece.If you don't have children, it's different. You're freer to come and go and do as you please.
b. to differ
Estos dos casos policiales son totalmente diferentes. No se pueden comparar.These two police cases totally differ. They cannot be compared.
