intransitive verb phrase
An intransitive verb phrase is a phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or other particle and does not require a direct object (e.g. Everybody please stand up.).
1. (to feel one is about to vomit)
a. to feel sick
Clara sintió náuseas y después vomitó.Clara felt sick and then she vomited.
b. to feel nauseous
El olor a sardinas me hace sentir náuseas.The smell of sardines makes me feel nauseous.
c. to gag
Sentí náuseas al tomar el vaso de leche.I gagged on the glass of milk.
d. to retch
Los humos me hicieron sentir náuseas.The fumes made me retch.
