An adjective is a word that describes a noun (e.g. the big dog).
1. (well-mannered) a. refined Carmen es una mujer refinada que no soporta a las personas con malos modales. Carmen is a refined person who cannot stand people with poor manners.
A masculine noun is used with masculine articles and adjectives (e.g. el hombre guapo, el sol amarillo).
