An intransitive verb phrase is a phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or other particle and does not require a direct object (e.g. Everybody please stand up.).
a. to take off one's clothes
Mario llegó a casa, se quitó la ropa y se dio una ducha.Mario got home, took off his clothes, and had a shower.
b. to take one's clothes off
El médico le dijo a Petra que se quitara la ropa.The doctor asked Petra to take her clothes off.
