A noun is a word referring to a person, animal, place, thing, feeling or idea (e.g. man, dog, house).
1. (grammar)
a. el tiempo pretérito
(m) means that a noun is masculine. Spanish nouns have a gender, which is either feminine (like la mujer or la luna) or masculine (like el hombre or el sol).
Use the preterite tense when you're talking about an event in the past that had a defined beginning and end.Usa el tiempo pretérito cuando hablas de un evento en el pasado que tuvo un comienzo y un fin definido.
b. el pretérito
(m) means that a noun is masculine. Spanish nouns have a gender, which is either feminine (like la mujer or la luna) or masculine (like el hombre or el sol).
I use the preterite tense less often than I use the imperfect tense.Uso el pretérito con menos frecuencia que uso el imperfecto.
