An adjective is a word that describes a noun (e.g. the big dog).
1. (too soon) a. premature Ana Laura fue prematura. Creo que nació a los ocho meses. Ana Laura was premature. I think she was born at eight months. b. too early Creo que es muy prematuro hablar de matrimonio, Jackson. I think it's too early to talk about marriage, Jackson.
This means that the noun can be masculine or feminine, depending on the gender of person it refers to (e.g. el doctor, la doctora).
