3. (legal)
a. obliged
Según esta citación, estás obligado a dar testimonio en el juicio.According to this subpoena, you are obliged to testify in court.
A masculine noun is used with masculine articles and adjectives (e.g. el hombre guapo, el sol amarillo).
4. (music)
a. obbligato
Porque el compositor marcó este pasaje como un obligado, solo los violonchelos deben tocarlo.Since the composer marked this passage as an obbligato, it must be played by only the cellos.
