An adjective is a word that describes a noun (e.g. the big dog).

a. lower case
Me gusta escribir mi nombre con una "m" minúscula aunque no sea correcto.I like to write my name with a lower case "m" even though it's not correct.
b. small
Escribe una "a" minúscula si la respuesta correcta es la primera.Write a small "a" to indicate that the correct answer is the first one.
A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
2. (typography)
a. lower case letter
Las minúsculas ocupan menos espacio que las mayúsculas.Lower case letters take up less space than upper case letters.
b. small letter
En el formulario no se pueden escribir minúsculas.You cannot write small letters in the form.
