A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
1. (animal)
a. bean larva
Mis plantas están destrozadas porque las midas se comieron las hojas.My plants are ruined because the bean larvae ate their leaves.
b. pulse larva
Las midas estaban acabando con el jardín, así que eché insecticida.Pulse larvae were destroying the garden, so I laid down insecticide.
