A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
1. (enchantress)
a. sorceress
La maga se valía de magia oscura para conseguir sus propósitos.The sorceress used black magic for her own benefit.
b. magician
El príncipe partió en busca de una maga que le ayudara a romper el hechizo.The prince set out looking for a magician who would help him break the spell.
2. (illusionist)
a. magician
"¿Era esta tu carta?", le preguntó la maga al voluntario del público."Was this your card?," asked the magician to the volunteer from the public.
3. (skilled woman)
a. wizard
Todos los meses se las apaña para pagar todas las facturas, darse algún capricho y ahorrar, ¡es una maga de las finanzas!Every month she manages to pay all the bills, treat herself, and save up. She's a finance wizard!
