(m) means that a noun is masculine. Spanish nouns have a gender, which is either feminine (like la mujer or la luna) or masculine (like el hombre or el sol).
My Irish grandmother always left milk and bread on the windowsill for the leprechauns.Mi abuela irlandesa siempre dejaba leche y pan para los duendes sobre la repisa de la ventana.
When my son saw someone dressed as a leprechaun, he asked him where the pot of gold was hidden.Cuando mi hijo vio a alguien vestido de duende, le preguntó dónde estaba escondido el cazo de oro.
