A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
1. (tasteleness)
a. insipidity
Esa insipidez no se espera de un chef de su calibre.You don't expect such insipidity from a chef of her caliber.
b. insipidness
Si lo que buscas es insipidez, te encantará la comida que sirven en ese restaurante.If insipidness is what you're after, you'll love the food served up at that restaurant.
c. blandness
Pedro siempre se queja de la insipidez de la comida del hospital.Pedro always complains about the blandness of the hospital food.
2. (tediousness)
a. dullness
Mirna no soportaba la insipidez de la vida de pueblo y se vistió de colores chillones para mortificar a los vecinos.Mirna couldn't stand the dullness of village life so she dressed in garish colors to torment the neighbors.
