adjective 1. (fantastic)
a. great La fiesta fue estupenda; bailé hasta el amanecer. The party was great; I danced till dawn.
b. marvelous Tiene un marido estupendo al que le encanta jugar con los niños. She has a marvelous husband who loves playing with children.
c. wonderful Ana vive en un barrio estupendo. Hay muchas tiendas y cafés, y un parque muy grande. Ana lives in a wonderful neighborhood. There are lots of stores and cafes, and a big park.
d. stupendous La obra nueva está estupenda; la tienes que ver. The new play is stupendous; you have to see it.
An interjection is a short utterance that expresses emotion, hesitation, or protest (e.g. Wow!).
interjection 2. (used to express approval)
a. great ¿Quedamos mañana de nuevo? ¡Estupendo! Shall we meet tomorrow again? Great!
b. wonderful ¿Ya acabaste? ¡Estupendo! Muchas gracias por tu ayuda. Are you done? Wonderful! Thank you so much for your help.
