A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
1. (quality of being disabled)
María no puede valerse sola a causa de su discapacidad.Maria can't fend for herself because of her disability.
b. handicap (often offensive) (old-fashioned)
A word or phrase that is seldom used in contemporary language and is recognized as being from another decade, (e.g. cat, groovy).
La discapacidad de aquel hombre le impedía viajar sin su silla de ruedas.That man's handicap hampered him from traveling without his wheelchair.
A noun is a word referring to a person, animal, place, thing, feeling or idea (e.g. man, dog, house).
