An intransitive verb phrase is a phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or other particle and does not require a direct object (e.g. Everybody please stand up.).
2. (to be summoned; used with "to" or "for")
a. ser llamado
Father Jackson was called to the ministry when he was 25.El Padre Jackson fue llamado al ministerio cuando tenía 25 años.
b. ser convocado
Frank was called to the major leagues.Frank fue convocado a las ligas mayores.
The meeting was called for Thursday.La reunión se convocó para el jueves.
