intransitive verb phrase
An intransitive verb phrase is a phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or other particle and does not require a direct object (e.g. Everybody please stand up.).
1. (to have sex)
a. to bed
Las mujeres con las que se acuesta James Bonds se llaman chicas Bond.The women James Bonds beds are called Bond girls.
b. to sleep with
Esperé hasta después de la tercera cita para acostarme con mi novio.I waited until after the third date to sleep with my boyfriend.
c. to go to bed with
Si no quieres acostarte con alguien, no te sientas presionada a hacerlo.If you don't want to go to bed with someone, don't feel pressured to.
