1. (third person singular)
a. around him
Si hay niños en la habitación, siempre están a su alrededor. Le encantan.If there are children in the room, they're always around him. He loves them.
b. around her
Cuando su novio la dejó, sintió que el mundo se desmoronaba a su alrededor.When her boyfriend left her, she felt the world falling apart around her.
c. around it
No se puede ver la casa porque tiene una tapia a su alrededor.You can't see the house because it has a wall around it.
A word or phrase used to refer to the second person formal “usted” by their conjugation or implied context (e.g. usted).
(second person singular)

¿Cómo puede vivir con estos muebles viejos a su alrededor? ¿No le traen recuerdos tristes?How can you live with all this old furniture around you? Doesn't it bring back sad memories?
3. (third person plural)
a. around them
Mis abuelos solo están contentos cuando tienen a todos los nietos a su alrededor.My grandparents are only happy when they have all their grandchildren around them.
4. (second person plural)
a. around you
Ustedes tienen suerte de vivir aquí y tener tantas tiendas a su alrededor.You're lucky to live here and have so many stores around you.
