La creación de la SECAD ha favorecido la integración de políticas de alfabetización y EJA.	The establishment of SECAD has favored integration of literacy and YAE policies.
Con el fin de satisfacer la demanda de educación permanente generada por el PBA, en 2004 la SECAD invirtió 420 millones de reales (US$ 154,41 millones) por medio de acuerdos suscritos con estados y municipios en orden a fortalecer y ampliar sus redes de EJA.	With the objective of meeting the demand for continuing studies generated by PBA, in 2004 SECAD invested R$ 420 million (US$ 154.41 million) through agreements with States and municipalities so as to strengthen and expand their YAE networks.
