El aguamanil y la jofaina se trasladaron al museo en 1926 desde la tumba de Pertevniyal de Estambul, construcción a la que estaban destinados.	The ewer and basin were transferred to the museum in 1926 from the Tomb of Pertevniyal Valide Sultan in Istanbul, to which they were dedicated.
El aguamanil, de tapa plana y pitorro recto, está decorado con tres franjas de medallones de diferentes tamaños con motivos figurativos en su interior (tronos, jinetes y planetas).	Its body, shoulder and neck are decorated with three friezes featuring figurative motifs within medallions of different sizes.
