Since mythic images ultimately govern a culture, and ours is a culture that has debased the feminine for many thousands of years, we find here the root of the horror of our reality: that we have desacralized Nature.
Para terminar, Señor Presidente, ¿cómo no advertir en este descuido, en esta violencia hecha a la tierra, un signo típico de nuestra civilización, que lo ha desacralizado todo y tiende a meterlo todo dentro de lógicas racionales y científicas?	To conclude, Mr President, how can anybody fail to see, in this violence and lack of attention to the land, a typical sign of our civilisation which has desecrated everything, and where everything tends to be seen in rational and scientific terms?
