Después de aproximadamente una hora, nos bajamos en un cruce de caminos, transitamos a pie unos 400 metros y arribamos a la playa de Ahui, ubicada al noreste de la península, donde se podía hacer camping.	After approximately one hour, we got off the bus at a crossroads. We walked along some 400 meters and reached the Ahui beach, located on the Northeast of the peninsula, where camping was allowed.
Conjuntamente con los fuertes de San Antonio y Ahui en la península de enfrente, conformaron una de las defensas más importantes de la Patagonia, esto dio a Ancud un prestigio y preponderancia que la convirtieron en la capital política y militar de este territorio.
