a. at night
Siempre he preferido estudiar de noche. Estoy mucho más despierto que durante el día.I've always preferred to study at night. I feel much more awake than during the day.
b. after dark
Vámonos ya, que no me gusta conducir de noche.Let's go now. I don't like driving after dark.
c. by night
En aquella época, me encantaba salir, vivía de noche y dormía de día.I loved going out at that time. I lived by night and slept by day.
Se hizo de noche, y nosotros seguíamos perdidos en medio de aquel bosque inmenso.It got dark, and we were still lost in the middle of that huge forest.
e. nights (to work)
Mi hermana es enfermera y este mes trabaja de noche.My sister is a nurse and she works nights this month.
La crema de noche no debe utilizarse durante el día porque no lleva factor de protección solar.The night cream shouldn't be used during the day because it doesn't have sunscreen.
b. late night (showing)
Si vamos al cine, ¿quieres ir a la sesión de tarde o a la de noche?If we go to the movies, do you want to go to the evening or to the late night showing?
