Hello

In English I can say "I saw a very small bird using a telescope" and this would be instantly understood to indicate that I was using the telescope.

How would this sentence be expressed in Spanish'

In spanish you could say he visto un pájaro muy pequeño por el telescopio

You could always say "pajarillo" for very small bird.

You should say I saw a very small bird trough a telescope.

In spanish you could say he visto un muy pequeño pájaro por telescópo

You might want to say "Using a telescope, I saw a small bird."

En ese caso, puedes traducir la frase en español.

When I first read the sentence I thought the bird was using the telescope, so it wasn't obvious in English.

I immediately thought the same until reason clicked in.
