I thought, it even said on the videos that when you say your age you use Tengo, So I thought if I say "Tengo trece años" it would be right, but I was that wasn't how you said it, so how do you say your age in spanish'

Tengo trece años is how you say your age, Eric. You can also say "Mi edad es 13 años", but then you sound like the Terminator when he says "affirmative" instead of "right" or "ok".
