Have you got your girlfriend? No, I don't have one.
Like her name? No, not this llama (the animal from South America)
Like you knew her and where? No, I am not he knew her
How long have you been together? No, I don't carry with someone
Do you love each other much? Not administered.
I really need to see the questions to help here.
Esta un estudiante. = This a student
What did you want to say? I am a student? (Soy estudiante)
- you would just say ¿tienes novia? because tienes means have you got so there
is no need to say tu it has already been said in the verb and your reply would be no,no tengo. - ¿cómo se llama? would mean what is his or her name but you should start with the upside down question mark, to this question you would reply "se llama maria"
or whatever her name is.
3.¿cómo la conosiste y dónde? is how did you meet and where did you meet her'
you could reply "conocimos en un salon de bailar" we met in a dance hall. - ¿cuánto tiempo llevan juntos? means how long have they been together? reply
could be "les llevan juntos siete años" they have been together seven years.
5.¿se quieran mucho? I THINK this means do they love each other a lot? to which
you could reply sí,les quieran mucho. regards, Ken.
when it comes to cómo and como, is there a difference in pronunciation?
HI Felmar, you might not know this, but we often get the case when a word is written and pronounced the same we differenciate the meaning by adding an accent.
In this case apart form being a verb, como also means ·like· as in comparisons
Soy como tú. I am like you.
so to distinguish this from the interrogative, we use an accent on the interrogative. ![]()
Heidita & qfreed,
thanks for the tips! now I see how important it is to include the punctuation marks - makes a whole lot of difference in meaning no? pregunta! when it comes to cómo and como, is there a difference in pronunciation'
¡Que seas feliz todos los días! You might want to wait for confirmation before accepting that one.
Confirmed
and doesn't "Cuanto tiempo llevan juntos'" mean where did you meet and when?
More accurately it means ...How long have you been together?
A suggestion for the future:
If you're just guessing about how to answer the question and you know it is probably way off the mark, include what you are trying to say in English and then we can tell you how to say it and, perhaps, even tell you why your attempt was unsuccessful.
A lot of extra work (like proper punctuation), but, as you see, necessary to avoid miscommunication.
(I can't see the screen anymore, but you wanted to know how to say something akin to be happy every day.)
I'm not a native, but that sounds like an salutation, exclamation or exhortation in Spanish that might be rendered with a ¡Que....!

The questions were actually from the book. The exercise was for me to answer the questions. Based on a previous reading exercise I tried to understand the questions (without having to look everything up/translate) - guess I was a bit off on some. BUt doesn't "Como se llama'" mean what is his/her name? and doesn't "Cuanto tiempo llevan juntos'" mean where did you meet and when? and doesn't "no aplicable" mean not applicable? thanks!
felmar, what Lazarus wanted to point out that correct punctuation and spelling is important.
For example:
Como se llama =I eat a llama.
como = eat
¿cómo? = how?
¿Cómo se llama? What is your name'
I forgot that he omits question marks. Maybe it is:
¿Necesesitan ser entusiastas los cómicos? casi...
¿Es usted alegre todos los días?
I wanted to say that "Comedians need to be enthusiastic". In the other sentence I wanted to say "Be happy every day."
¿Como puedo decir todo esto correctamente en espanol'

Ejercicio 4,
Durante las graduaciones, las familias se celebran.
A las personas les gusta cantar durante las bodas.
Me encanta recibir los reagalos.
Cada de mis hermanos es divertido y simpático. (I think that the adjectives are describing each (cada) but since it's invariant I'd use masculine (mis hermanos might be 9 girls and one boy), if son was correct the adjectives would have to be plural)
Cuando las familias se reunen es muy bien.
Entusiaticos necesitan ser los cómicos.
Alegre es usted todos los días.
¿Cuál es la fecha hoy?
Exercise 5
¿Tienes tú... (¿ likewise before all of these questions)
Me llamo...
Since you are missing 95% of these, I suggest that you try them again. Then re-post. I don't want to do your homework for you.
Of course, if you really gave it an effort and just don't understand the purpose of the exercises, please ask specific questions about what the exercises are trying to teach you.
Thanks for your help qfreed! I couldn't find the backwards question mark in "symbols" before so I didn't bother. But I found recently found it so I will insert it from now on. The exercise was to take 5 nouns, 5 verbs and 5 adjectives from a passage and make sentences out of them. Thank you for the corrections! They are a great help.
I forgot that he omits question marks. Maybe it is:

What does the lo refer to? (abstract it')
- Cada uno de mis hermanos es divertido y simpático.
**Perfect sense. That solves the gender problem.
**
- Cuando las familias se reúnen [del]es muy bien[/del]** '''''** (what IS very good? What is the subject of the sentence')
I don't know what question was asked, but I imagine the response is supposed to be something like: It's nice when families get together.
