Why can you say "Te prohibo venir" but not "Te quiero venir"?, etc.

¡Hola! Voy a escribir esto en inglés, pero no podía resistir escribir algo en español.
Anyway:
My question is this: Why can you say "Te prohibo venir" or "Prohibo que vengas" but you can only say "Quiero que vengas" and not "Te quiero venir"?
Is there a rule for what type of verbs can use both structures and which can only use the subjunctive structure'
