Hola! I have to write this paragraph in Spanish for school. I have tried my best to translate it correctly but I want to make sure it is correct. Would you please check it for me?

**Emilia calls her friend Amelia and asks her to go to the Cafe Guanajuato. The cafe is on Hidalgo Street. Emilia likes the food there and the prices are cheap. They arrive:

Emilia: "Good afternoon. The menu, please."

Waitress: "What can I bring you today'"

Amelia: "I want broccoli soup, chicken with rice, beans, and coffee."

Emelia: "I only want a salad of lettuce, cauliflower, and tomato with French dressing, and tea."

Waitress: "Do you want dessert? We have ice cream, custard, and fresh fruit with cheese."

Emilia: "Yes, I want fresh fruit only."

Amelia: "I do not want dessert, thank you."**

Here is how I translated it in Spanish:

Llegan:

Emilia: "Buenas tardes. El menu, por favor.

Camarera: " Que traigo Uds. hoy'"

Let me know what I need to fix.

Thanks!

There are a few errors I noticed, I can't take Spanish until I'm in 11th grade, and I'll be in 9th Grade after Summer is over smile
Spanish is required at my School, and I'd say I'll be the only one that knows the whole language.
( I don't know the whole language now, but surley I will by then.

I think your sentences need some corrections

P.S. You can omit (drop) all articles (in brackets). It sounds better (more natural) without them.

Emilia: "Buenas tardes. El menú, por favor.

Camarera: " ¿Qué traigo Uds. hoy'" (¿Cómo les puedo servir hoy? - Hoy can I serve you today. Also, to type the ¿ you hold down ALT and type 168 - unless you are using a laptop, I don't know how to help you then.)

(I don't think that you need la here, but you are specifying, so, it sounds ok.)

Amelia: "No quiero el postre, gracias." (I don't think that you need el here, but you are specifying, so, it sounds ok.)

Let me know what I need to fix.

Thanks!

Elly

In Argentina they refer to waiters as mosos/as

This is my guess, maybe someone else has different suggestions.

(initial attempt; wait for someone else, I probably missed a few things)

Llegan:

Emilia: "Buenas tardes. El menú, por favor.

Camarera: " Que traigo Uds. hoy'"
