none of the Spanish TV links works

Hi
New to the site, which is very awesome. I plan on using it a lot. As I was checking out the reference/media section, I noticed that none of the Spanish TV links worked. I am on a Mac using Safari. When I click a link there, it takes me to the forums. I tried searching the forum and didn't find anyone with a similar problem so I thought I would write. Thanks again for the great site, it is fantastic.

Goodmorning! and thank you again for your response. I have just watched a couple of videos on bliptv (interesting site!!) so Spanish Dict definitely have a glitch on their video system. I will carry on using the flashcard part for learning until the site is working.
Thanks again for your input ... Lynn

Thank you for your quick reply .. just checked again .. I still cant 'watch' the initial part of the lesson. I also checked this application i.e. viewing a video,on other sites and its working fine on everything except Spanish Dict'? Appreciate your feedback!

To decide whether the problem is your equipment or this sites you might wish to go to bliptv.com or a similar site and watch the video there. If you can watch it there then it's this server that is not working correctly.

Hi there,

I was relieved to read Denver Dan's post as I started the lessons ages ago .. logged on to find a new Spanish Dict .. then couldnt carry on with my lessons as the 'video' part wouldnt work!! I thought there was something wrong with my computer so I am relieved to hear it's just 'teething problems.'

I must concur that this is a fantastic site and understand the immensity of the job at hand .. I will work my way through flashcards until the lessons are up and running again smile

Dan's post was concerning viewing Spanish TV in the Media section. It has nothing to do with the Learn Spanish lessons. If the video for the lessons (the Watch Section) wasn't working that is a different problem as the lessons should be working currently.

It not you nor your equipment, it's this site.

The site recently switched hosts and there are many broken links here. The site is currently "under construction". They're promising "a new and improved" site shortly. So please be patient and pull your hair out or curse under your breath in the meantime like the rest of us.

Hii Denver, thanks for the input. Positive thinking is what we need. wink The new site has not been up for long, so we still have some issues.

Welcome to the forum. smile

Good to know! With the site freshly re-designed, there are usually integration issues, especially on large sites. The overall site design seems really solid though, especially for all the different technology going on to make it work, so I am sure they will get it together. Thanks for the fast response too, that's great!
