True: one thing is trying not to make careless mistakes, and another one is trying to be perfect all the time, which is impossible. Many people here respect me too much, fear me too much, or don't even bother reading what I write; otherwise, I'd be corrected several times a day.

In all fairness, I have a good eye for mistakes and I don't see you making any in Spanish. I do see a few in English, and have even brought some to your attention, but your Spanish is at least as flawless as I'm able to tell.

Quizás pudieras cometer algunos errores bien graves en español, para que no te temamos tanto smile

Since I started learning Spanish I've noticed some weird things... like "¿Cómo se llama'" and I've seen "¿Cómo se llama usted'" or "¿Cómo está'" or "¿Cómo está usted'" Which is it and why?

Don't forget that we have both English and Spanish learners here. Your typing is as bad as Heidita's and that's saying something. grin Sorry, I just realized that this may not be lazy typing, but the fact that you don't know how to make Spanish characters or punctuation.

There are MANY threads explaining how to do so and some instructions in the Reference section if that helps.

OK I'm sorry I can't be perfect. I won't post again.

Come on, if only perfectly correct replies were allowed none of us could answer a question. It takes a village...

If you say: ¿Cómo estás', then the [personal] pronoun must be 'tú'.

In Spanish usted is an honorific "you". It is used to address older people, people of higher status than us or someone that we don't know very well and need to treat with respect. The common "tu" is used for more familiar people. Our friends, family, etc.

¿Cómo está', or ¿Cómo está usted? are the same. You are only adding 'you? at the end of the question. If you say: ¿cómo estás', then the pronoun must be 'tu'. (refer to the conjugation table). In the case of ¿cómo está', then the pronoun must be 'usted'.

¿Cómo se llama usted? = ¿Cómo se llama?

¿Cómo te llamas tú? = ¿Cómo te llamas?

Are the other examples.
