Título Safety Officer
I must be having a brain-farct but I cannot for the life of me think of how to say "Safety Officer" in Spanish. Can anyone help?
Thanks Abe

Thanks for the replies. Yes my dilema stems from exactly that quirk in Spanish that can mean either security or safety. I am translating a powerpoint that states "Safety officer training". The other problem is with the word officer which can be translated "oficial" or "agente" which I'm leaning towards in this case.

Take a look at this site http://www.orosha.org/ - the Oregon Health & safety website. The English/Spanish dictionary (pdf) seems to say "seguridad" is correct but you may need to include the word for compliance. Hope this helps.

I think your condiction revolves around the fact that Spanish often uses "seguridad" for both safety and security and in English a Safety Officer and a Security Officer may have different functions.
Google says: oficial de seguridad.
