Could someone pliz explain to me the difference between tan and tanto and their uses?

You could search for a previous thread as this has been discussed before. I couldn't readily locate a thread from the search parameters I entered, however.

[del]I believe the most significant difference is that tanto(s), tanta(s) is an adjective that modifies nouns and tan is an adverb modifying adjectives, verbs, and other adverbs.[/del] incorrect (or incomplete).

I would suggest Googling tan/tanto where there are many discussions that will give you more complete answers than the short ones that you will probably get here.
