I have only been speaking spanish for about 10 months, but I feel that I do pretty well. Anyway, I have a friend that doesn't speak any english and whenever we text she always ends her texts in "A,T,T,E". I have no clue what it means and it is killing me. I thought that it might be something like out "OMG, LOL, BRB, etc." I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you.

Welcomee to the forum, rachel smile

I have moved your thread to the correct category and included the word, an abreviation really, in the title.

ATTE: atentamente

This is a very common ending of a letter

atentamente

adverb

  1. attentively (con atención, cortesía)

mire atentamente -> watch carefully

  1. Yours (sincerely/faithfully) (en cartas)

It is not a kind of LOL or OMG, but actually a standard abbreviation used particularly in formal letters. It should be written in lower case (unless it is at the beginning of a sentence, of course), without periods (and of course commas) between the letters, and with one period at the end:

Atte. Lazarus
