Tao 101
I was a little angry about "what have you done to my world" on this one.
Now let's take a closer look at the meaning of Tao:
In mankind's history there have been many calamities due to the social collapse and moral decay of our species. The Earth is ailing, and due to its affliction innumerable catastrophes abound. In the Bible's Old Testament there are many mentions of outbreaks of diseases and natural disasters that plagued humanity in those days. The most devastating of all was the well-known Universal flood, that nearly destroyed all life on Earth. Today we are again being threaten by the same predicaments of the past. The absence of moderation in our life styles has reached its summit of ignorance. We have set all gears in a downward fall, and we are now unable to reverse this self-destructive cycle.
(I almost wrote, "the peak of stupidity").

How can it be that with so very many people on the face of the earth concerned about the health of our planet, it is still in so much trouble.

I wanted to remove the hopeless inevitability of the words "reached its summit" and "unable to reverse". If these are true we might as well start building the escape pods because things here are irrepairable and earth is doomed. I suggest it is still fixable with deliberate positive action by us all.
Pray that our earth has a strong "Qi". Pray that we can minister to that "Qi" and increase and revitalize it.

I don't mean to sound so fatalistic, but it's all around us. How much more can this planet stand before it wags its tail like a dog and sends us flying like fleas? Too many people, our natural resources are being exhausted'We are spending too much time and effort on wars and on the development of a technology that in the long run turns into our own destruction. Corruption is interwoven in all aspects of our society. It's like a cancer, growing and growing'The people that dare to resist are either stamped out or obstructed, until they finally fade away. One brave soul, or a hundred, or thousands of brave souls might be able to change things a little bit, for a little while, but once they are gone, greed will resume its relentless quest.
Tao's quest is to restore people's original nature and bring Heaven to the Earth. Can we do that? I doubt it, people get too distracted by the details'Does God really exist? That's one of the biggest arguments around'Who cares if God is an anthropomorphical being or it's inside of us, or we are God, or whatever'we have to start by really listening to the voice of our consciousness, and don't make excuses to deviate from its course'But we cannot even respect each others religions. How can we ever listen to the voice of reason then?
Thanks Moe for all the time you have contributed proofreading this material. I really appreciate it. (God! I wish we had more smileys).
