descarada is a "hard faced" cheeky girl/boy if descarado ; however still likable despite the fact- to qualify as a "descarada" however it is required that the person has a "CHARM" . YEP this word is ironic indeed. have you watched Rubi?

The direct translation would be the one with out a face. If written with the letter a At the end,it refers to a female. However if the word ends with a letter o then it is a male.

See:descarada, a female with out a face.

descarado, a male with out a face.

Of course as Lazarus 1906 says, this funny word, is translated as not feeling shame.

I think Chines people use that idea of loosing face or not loosing face to mean shame.
The movie called "The Sand Pebles" starring what his face?
illustrates this point in one of its scenes; the Chinese labourer,Po-han (Mako), is beign beaten by a large tough white male. And, he does not fights back until his buddyJake Holman, Steve McQueen shames him into fighthing back.

The shameless (female) one.
Sometimes, it also can be cheeky.
