In Spanish questions is it not usually written as? :

¿Está aquí él?

¿Está aquí ella?

¿Estás aquí tú? = Are you here?

¿Está aquí usted? = formal (polite)

Hi qfreed

I did not phrase my answers the way you have written them. Look at my post and you will see I have the personal pronouns first with an interrogative tone in the voice which I think is acceptable.

I wasn't criticizing. I was actually asking a question. Which is more common... the inverse construction or the voice intonation? I don't know anyone who speaks Spanish so I have no idea of what is customary? I know both are acceptable, but which is prevalent?

Sorry, I read your post as "it is" and not "is it". In fact, not being a native speaker, I do not know the answer to your question. I have always spoken with the pronoun first and the interrogative tone. No doubt we will both be enlightened later, hehe.

Does Está aquí mean It´s here? If yes, how do we ask

Are you here?

Some friends of mine said it´s ¿Estás aquí?

Is that right?

¿ÿl está aquí? - Is he here?

¿Ella está aquí? - Is she here?

¿Usted está aqui? - Are you here (formal)

Tú estás aquí - Are you here (informal)

If you drop the personal pronoun on the first three there is an ambiguity of who you are talking about without more context.

And to answer your original question, está aquí can also mean it is here.

Everyone answered her question indirectly, but I think a more direct answer could be provided. She is asking if this construction means=xxxx then how would we say yyyyy which seems to need the same construction?

The more direct answer is that you need to include the subject pronoun to clarify who is the subject of the verb.
