hello Everyone,
this is my first post... i'm in my second level of Spanish... as part of my oral class work, i have written an essay in English and then translated it into Spanish... it is reproduced below... was hoping to get some constructive feedback on the same.

I spent a lot of time thinking about what topic to speak on for this class.
Yo pase mucho tiempo pencando sobre en que tema debo hablar para este clase.
Should I speak about Spain and its people or about Pedro Almodovar and his films?
Debo hablar sobre espana o su gente o sobre pedro Almodovar y sus peliculas.
All these topics are interesting but I felt I should speak about something that comes straight from my heart.
Todo estos temas son interestan pero siento que debo hablar algo que viene directmant de mi carozon.
That's why I am speaking about something that has been a part of me for the past few months.
Por eso estoy hablando sobre algo que he sido de mi parte para los meses pasados.
It's the Spanish language itself!
El es idioma de espanol.
Now from where should I begin to describe my relationship with this language that has had all the ups and downs of a real life relationship?
De donde debo empezar a describir mi relaciones con este langua.
I have felt happiness, despair, rejection, joy, boredom failure and success in my love affair with this language.
Mi he sentido todo tipo de emociones en este viaje de felicidad a a desesperacion, del exito al fracaso de una sonrisa a una lagrima.
It all started last year, when I was introduced to it by my friend Vaishali.
Todo empezo el ano pasado cuando me introduje con espanol por mi amiga Vaishali.
Having had brief affairs with French and German in the past, I was a little hesitant at first.
Despues estaba haciendo tenido un breve historia de amor con frances y aleman en el pasado. Yo era un poco indeciso al principio.
But this language made me comfortable immediately.
Pero esta langa me hizo sentir comodo enseguida.
I felt that Spanish was easier, fun and less complicated then I had expected.
Yo sentia que el espanol era mas facil divertido y menos complicado entonces lo que esparaba.
Or that's what I thought initially!
O eso lo que pensaba inicialmente.
As the weeks passed, I began to realize that my simple friend Spanish actually had many secret layers to it.
Como algunas semanas pasaron me di cuenta que mi amigo espanol tuvo muchas capas secretas o el.
Every grammatical formations had exceptions to it. And when one would get over with the exceptions one would be introduced with numerous spelling changes.
Cada formacion grammatical fue seguida por excepiones. Antes que me pode acabar de aprender las excepiones los cambios del deletreos todavia se quedan ser aprendidos.
I am always find myself dead I action when I am doing the verbs.
Soy siempre me encontrado muerto en accion cuando estoy hacienda los verbos . porque hay muchos de ellos.
And god what attitude it has it does get annoyed and stops responding when I do not give it enough time.
Y mi dios! Que atitude el tiene. Se enfado conmigo y no responde a mi cuando yo no le doy bastante tiempo.
Like what happened recently. I was a little preoccupied for the last few weeks that's why i was not able to spend quality time with.
Como lo que ocurrido alguna vez detras. Yo era un poco occupado par alas ultimas semanas. Por eso no pude pasar tiempo calidad con el.
Well, I m still facing the consequences.
Estoy sufriendo todavia las consecuencias de lo.
Spanish does not smile at me any more. The fact is that it stares at me with contempt.
Espanol no sonreir a mi. el hecho es que el me mira con un desprecio.
So here I am with this uphill task of mending my way back to it.
Asi que aqui estoy con esta ardua tarea de repara mi parte consigo.
But Good thing about Spanish is that it does have a heart.
Pero yo creo que espanol tiene un buen Corazon.
And if I'm humble enough and persistent enough, it is going to come back to me.
Y si soy bastante humilde y persistente. El va a volver a mi.
And when it does- this time I wont let it go.
Y cuando lo hace. Esta vez no lo dejare ir.
