"Por" and "para" have NOTHING to do with temporary and permanent. You have written:
I have a lot of love for my little girl. In her opinion, I am crazy.
If you want to write "I am crazy for her", you must write "Estoy loco por ella" (I am crazy because of her".
Remember: "por" is used to give reasons, to state a "because" (the word "because" is not "PORque" by accident)
Tengo mucho amor para (dar a) mi chiquita. Soy (un) loco para ella.
Todo lo que tengo es por mi cariñito.
All I have is because of my darling.
Todo mi amor es para mi novia.
All my love is for my girl.
Tengo mucho amor para mi chiquita. Soy loco para ella.
I have a lot of love toward my little girl.
Soy loco para ella.
She thinks, that I am crazy
Estoy loco por ella, estoy trastornado por ella
I am nuts for her
crazy for her
Disclaimer.... I could be wrong
If we're taking a poll, then I agree with you. It could be either depening on further context.
I'm crazy about her. Estoy loco por ella.
According to her, I'm crazy. Para ella, estoy loco o estoy loco para ella. (awkward construction, but who says the author is a grammarian.)
Tengo mucho amor por mi chiquita. Estoy loco por ella.
Let's see what the others have to say.
I also believe "por" is the correct choice here. Use "por" when feelings are involved.
Todo lo que tengo es por mi cariñito.
All I have is because of my darling.
Todo mi amor es para mi novia.
All my love is for my girl.
Tengo mucho amor para mi chiquita. Soy loco para ella.
I have a lot of love toward my little girl.
