Bandeador
Many of my ESL students work in the garment industry. They're learning to do job interviews in English. One student's job title in Spanish is "bandeador." He isn't sure, but he thinks his boss told him this translates to "bandoly" (student's spelling). I don't know this word. I hope someone can help! The student says it's a kind of "finisher" of the garment, putting the tags on. On behalf of Antonio and myself, we thank you for your efforts.

This would be a question only someone familiar with the various job titles at a garment factory could properly answer, I think.
A call to the factory, by an English-speaking person, might be a good idea...just to inquire about the various job titles in general and about the title of one who puts the tags on in particular. If you introduce yourself as an ESL teacher who encounters many who have experience working in garment factories, they might be inclined to be helpful.
However, I did search the internet and came up with an organization chart that listed the position of "tagger" under the "finisher" department.

Bandeador does not extist in the dictionary, we do have bandear, which means "drill".
However, even though this is not exactly a job title, I can think of etiquetador. The person who puts the labels on the clothes..
So we could call this: labeller??
Closest thing I can find to "bandeador" is a type of machinery to aid (with fabric?).
They have a picture of it here:
It is also mentioned here:
Seems to have to do with factory / machine parts.
As far as translating "bandeador" to be a job title, sorry, I don't know exactly what that would translate to. Probably something along the lines of manufacturer / assembly? Sounds like a specialized title/term that only someone in that line of specialized work / trade would recognize.. ?
Maybe a spanish native here would be more familiar with the term...
Tagger!!! Great answer, web, wonderful
