Yolii:

I am an English speaking Canadian. You may already know that Canada has two official languages, English and French. We commonly refer to our people (in English) as "anglophones" or "francophones". You have spelled your word "francófonos" but I am sure, as Gus has said, that the meaning of your word is that the speaker is predominantly a french speaking person.

Your spelling is the one that appears in "REAL ACADEMIA ESPAÿOLA DICCIONARIO DE LA LENGUA ESPAÿOLA" and is defined as "Dicho de una persona o de una comunidad: Que tiene el francés como lengua usual de expresión."

I hope this helps.
