'abre los margenes de la pagina?

Hi everyone,

In the office when we are working in an excel spread sheet and we want to expand the page margins...we normally said; open up the margins.

If I was speaking spanish what would be the best way to say this?

"abre los margenes de la pagina"''? Thanks

I've never heard "desanchar" in my life. I'd definitely have used Eddy's suggestion myself.

How about desanchar los márgenes? "Open up" is an idiom in English.

Interesting word James but I couldn't find it in Collins or the RAE dictionary. I can see where your coming from with the use of des+ "anchar" which I did find.

How about ensanchar which means to enlarge, widen, expand, to let out.

Expandir, extender, ensanchar are all synonyms and they also mean to expand. Maybe something like: 'Expande los márgenes de las páginas', can be said.
