Would someone be able to tell me the english translation of the spanish word 'paso'?

James response is the answer you are looking for -- but I had to respond.

Wow .... what a word "pasar" is. My dictionary ( I need a fork-lift to pick it up) has 37 different main entries (not including the sub-entries) for "pasar"! ! ! The dictionary on this site has 23 entries.

At this time I am 25 miles from the town of "El Paso de Robles".

paso = I pass, spend, etc.
pasó = He/she/it/usted passed, spent, etc.

Is there context? Paso could be a conjugation of 'pasar' which means 'to pass', or it could be referring to "El Paso". The exact conjugation of pasar would depend on the context.
