I don't know about the rest of the membership but in my opinion the addition of the photos has definitely improved the look of the posts. What do you think'

This problem has been fixed. You should now be able to upload your own avatars. Please let us know if you have any more problems.

Did you actually upload an avatar? What format, size, colours etc.?
Sorry, I was not explicit enough. I meant to say I never had that message under the old system, just a long delay with it loading. However, changing of avatars is now possible, see Nick3 post above.

I am so glad that the avatars feature came back since the forum got updated. Now all my friends here can see my avatar and it is much easier for them to recognize me.

I'd like to replace mine, but whenever I try to upload a new photo for my avatar I get an error. This occurs even if the picture file is within the recommended size. Any suggestions?

I don't know about this new system but even under the old one it used to take ages to accept the upload. Are you sure you are giving it enough time to load?

The avatar I am using is a trade mark of my operating system, a software that used on many secure devices (ATMs, telephone, etc.). Besides, I am an old f'rt, why should I try to break someones monitor! je-je & ha-ha
