Can you believe it? I still don't know whether or not I can go see you at the end of the month. Before I can go, I need to quickly find someone to take my room, so I don't have to continue paying for it. I haven't been able to find anyone, and I'm sick and tired of placing ads in the newspaper without much luck. So I have to stay a little longer, until I find somebody. You have no idea how much I want to go on vacation! I hope it doesn't take much longer till we can see each other again. I will keep you informed of any new developments.

I think you need to use the subjunctive in the above sentence.

Also, consider using "cuánto" rather than "lo mucho."
